Cheers! - The Plucky Team Hourglass - "HG-III" Red Bordeaux Blend, Napa Valley 2019 The 2019 vintage for HGIII is a knockout - an unequivocal example of how this expansive, rich and deeply textured wine overdelivers. A Bordeaux style estate blend, a trio of varietals all offering unique distinction and harmony to the final blend: Merlot leads with finesse and approachability, Cabernet Sauvignon elevates with structure and polish, and Petite Syrah grounds the blend with depth and richness. Lifted aromas of red and black currants, with dried herbs and fennel as thier savory counterpart. A ripe juicy frame of dark sour and red cherry mingles with inky black cassis and a depth of powdery tannin laced with dark chocolate. Approachable now, and yet with the structure, density, and complexity for great ageability. Newsletter Special - $37.99
Comando G - Grenache "La Bruja de Rozas" Madrid, Spain 2020 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - 94 Points! This is hands-down our favorite Grenache for the price! Made from revived old vine Grenache from some of the most unique terroir in the world, and vinified by the rockstar duo Daniel Landi and Fernando Garcia. This is a seriously sophisticated wine for the price, upfront aromas of floral laced red fruit, over-ripe strawberry, bing cherry, and struck match stick, followed by a plethora of nuances with white pepper, sage, and earthy oregano. The finish is exotic to say the least, clean minerals, leather, flint, and Moroccan spices round out the lasting conclusion. An absolute stunner for the price! Newsletter Special - $33.95
Justin Girardin - Bourgogne Blanc, Burgundy 2019 Outstanding Quality White Burgundy With 13 Generations of Winemaking Experience! The Girardin family needs no introduction, with winemaking experience dating back to 1570. Justin is now following in his famed Ungle Vincent's footsteps proudly managing 17 hectares of the family estate vineyards through Santenay to Savigny-les-Beane. We can be some seriously tough critics of white Burgundy here at Plucky, but after we tried his Bourgogne Blanc, we knew we found something special - especially for under $20! His wines are terroir driven with minimal intervention, revealing clean 'true-to-varietal' Chardonnay from the region’s top vineyard sites. Justin's wines strike the perfect balance between traditional Burgundian rusticity and a modern new-generation approach to winemaking. An expansive, complex bouquet evokes fresh pear, white peach and honey, with a hint of toasted hazelnuts in the background. Dry and stony on the palate, offering intense citrus and orchard fruit flavors with a touch of brioche. Closes with clean finty minerals, lively acidity, and very good persistence. Newsletter Special - $19.99

Alain Graillot - Crozes-Hermitage, Northern Rhone 2019 WA92+/V91-93 Wine Advocate 92+ "Atypically big, rich and velvety, the 2019 Crozes Hermitage emanates from a vintage whose yields were cut in half by hail. Bottled in March 2021, it delivers rolling waves of ripe black cherries, tinged with understated herbal notes and a long, luxuriously textured finish." Newsletter Special - $35.99
Chateau de Pitray - Premier Vin, Castillon, Cotes de Bordeaux 2018 WE91/D91/WA90-92 Decanter - 91 - "Well textured, velvety fruits sit on a firm and fresh palate. This is good quality, stretching out in the mouth with tannins that are fully supportive of the project, not getting in the way but cheerleading as the fruit takes its first steps. There is so much to enjoy in the smaller appellations this year." Newsletter Special - $12.99
