“The 2021 Malbec Jardin de Hormigas Meteora originates from Paraje Altamira and was aged for 12 months in concrete vessels. Purple in hue. The subtle, nuanced nose features violet, sage and fennel notes alongside plum and blackberry. It has a dry, lean, chalky texture with an athletic, focused profile in which the energy and mouthfeel enhance the light-footed character. The 2021 is a modern, beautifully sculpted red.”

"Alberto Antonini owns the 88ha Jardin Altamira estate, planted at 1,200m and focusing on Malbec. This unoaked version is very perfumed: floral with violets and black cherry dancing over a core of spicy black fruit. There's lovely depth of fresh, bright pure black fruit on the palate – lots of silky black cherry – with top notes of red fruit: plum and cranberry on the long finish, overlaid with hints of herbs and spices. A wine of precision and tension – and a great partner for beef dishes. (Drink between 2024-2028)"
