"From winemaker Bruce Devlin comes this estate Cabernet from Ballentine's estate Pocai vineyard on bale and gravelly loam in Calistoga and Fig Tree vineyard with rocky, loamy soils in St. Helena. Aged 18 months in 50% new French oak. Leads with Kirsch notes, incense, and toasty cedar wood. Medium-bodied with ripe, grippy tannins and elegant waves of juicy cherry, fleshy plum, and crunchy Red Delicious apple notes, along with fragrant brown spices and dried wild herbs on the finish."
