"Dark purple. Smoke- and spice-accented dark berry, cherry liqueur and cured meat scents show excellent clarity and a building floral topnote. Concentrated but energetic blackberry, bitter cherry and spicecake flavors pick up candied violet and olive notes on the back half. In a distinctly old-school style but not at all rustic. Finishes chewy, sweet and extremely long, with steadily building tannins adding shape and youthful grip."
