Borgo Del Tiglio - Collio Bianco 2021 (750ml)

Friuli winemaker Nicola Manferrari stumbled into winemaking later in life and used the small parcel of land he inherited to its fullest extent. He embraced his ancestral roots and here has presented a unique white blend from Collio DOC composed of Friulano, Sauvignon, and Riesling. Each grape has strong characteristics on its own but when blended, presents a very balanced and approachable everyday wine. You'll find notes of ripe pear and orchard fruits, fresh peach, fresh herbs, white tea, and a subtle minerality. I recommend pairing this wine with scallops, octopus, and lightly roasted vegetables. It works especially well with springtime flavors like morel mushrooms and asparagus. I enjoy this wine with a spring pea risotto or eggplant parm!
