"The 2017 Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Saucours Blanc is the first vintage to include a parcel of red vines that were given their marching orders to make way for white. The soil here is white marl and the vines are now in their sixth leaf. The fresh, quite delicate bouquet features dried honey, jasmine and light honeysuckle aromas. The palate is very well balanced and fresh, the acidity nicely judged, and veins of lemongrass enliven the poised finish. This is a very commendable white Pernand-Vergelesses."
