A discreet touch of wood serves as a backdrop for the ripe red pinot fruit, plum and soft earth nuances. There is fine volume and richness to the very plush and round medium-bodied flavors that possess a hint of dryness that I suspect is being exacerbated somewhat by the presence of the abundant gas. As such there is a chance that this will age successfully though I doubt that it will ever be more than very good. (Drink starting 2019)
