Ferraton Pere et Fils - Châteauneuf-du-Pape Le Parvis 2019 (750ml)

The finest vintage I’ve tasted, the 2019 Châteauneuf Du Pape Le Parvis is a beautiful wine that does everything right. Offering lots of blackberry and candied black cherry fruit as well as Provençal garrigue and pepper, it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, a round, layered texture, and ripe tannins that emerge on the finish. Based on 70% Grenache and 15% each of Syrah and Mourvèdre, aged all in concrete, it’s ideal for drinking over the coming 8-10 years.

A whiff of blood lends iodine complexity to pristine black-cherry and cassis flavors in this delicately tannic, satin-textured Syrah-Mourvèdre blend. Richly concentrated, the succulent wine is properly ripe but maintains an earthen, granitic restraint. It drinks well young but should maintain peak through 2030.
