"At the entrance to the Val di Chiana, the Montepolli vineyard sits at 360m; Tenuta Licina produces a wonderfully elegant super Tuscan-styled blend on gallestro, an albarese limestone—a melange of pungent violet floral aromas mixed with sois bois, clove and rich plums and cherries. The palate is gorgeously structured with fresh blue and black fruits, and graphite notes introduce flavours of earthen minerality, with topsoil, moss and pine sap with a tangy berry finish measured in 5-minute intervals.
