Marine Layer - Chardonnay Aries 2018 (750ml)

Starting with the 2018 Chardonnay Aries, this Sonoma Coast effort was barrel fermented and aged a year in 30% new French oak. Lots of buttered citrus and apple-like fruits as well as notes of toasted bread, honeysuckle, sappy herbs flow to a medium-bodied, elegant Chardonnay with a rounded, elegant texture, good mid-palate density, integrated acidity, and a great finish. Slightly understated, it grows on you with time in the glass. It’s going to evolve for 5–7 years

This white offers a wealth of mineral- like stone texture and crushed rock, presenting a seamless integration of tannin and oak. Gravenstein apple, pear and a lightness of baking spice accent it with freshness and complexity.
